Highlight for me was the somber, yet delicate "Black Peter." It's treated with fine destination, natural transitions and the language of each note speaks perfectly to the hidden arrangement of the past five songs. Their final word dances towards the end and fades inexplicably into "Around and Around." The image of an Impressionist painting comes to the front of my mind.
Thank you to Betty, Dick, Rob and Jim for the recording/transfer process. Your work is never unnoticed.
Peace ~ Nick.

Really nice recording!
Also a further improvement on even the last two awesome shows, at least where this set 2 is concerned. Not as jazzy and experimental as the previous night, but rip-roaring good.

Wrap it up I will take this one...
This 2nd set while not as over the top as the previous night in Madison is still pretty good!
I really dig Donna singing on Dupree's
Good to hear JERRY tell that story again.
Before the band breaks for Drumz they call for N.F.A out of Drumz.
The band sounding tight here and pretty amped up!
9 minutes in they hesitate slightly and then shift into overdrive to pick up that last verse
"I wanna tell you how it's gonna be"
Oh, yeah Donna Jean, mellow and feeling it.
INCREDIBLE SOUND.

Killer Betty Board!
I pulled this one out of my collection today as part of my mini-marathon of "on this day" and upon listening, realized I had forgotten how good this sounds. And the performance is pretty hot, too. A sleeper show from ealry '78, this one is a must-have if you are looking for something a little off the beaten path!

Fantastic
I don't know how folks missed this one, maybe because it's only the second set, but it is great. The sound is AWESOME and the music is right on. Take a listen. Also, the NFA is great. A unique jam in the middle and a great exchange with Donna!

Super Sound Quality
I only just started listening to Samson, but man is this a crisp recording. I'm not a pro by any means, but this is easily one of the best sounding recordings I've heard here.

Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaah
Unsurpassed sound quality. 5* for that alone. Crank it up! Not sure where all this stuff has crept out from lately, but am grateful and say keep it comin'. So nice that the music never stops.
